Below is the horoscope for Darrell  Brooks Jr.  No time given.  He plowed through a Christmas Parade on November 21, 2021  in Waukesha, WI.  creating havoc and killing many.  He's an Aquarian, with Moon late Taurus or early Gemini. Natal  Uranus in early Sagittarius most likely opposes his natal Moon giving him emotional instability.  His Venus in Capricorn is squared by a cluster of planets in Libra, Mars, Saturn and Pluto.  On the day of the parade transiting Pluto was conjunct his natal Venus and squaring all of his Libra planets.  Pluto or Hades, lord of the underworld is famous for abducting innocent Persephone and dragging her to the underworld.  Pluto was obsessed with her.  In astrology Pluto can bring about obsession and those emotions can "capture" a person.  Clearly something was going on with this person in order for him to senselessly drive through a crowd of people.  

 

Trump Eclipsed

 

All will agree that this 2020 election is one for the books.  And it is not over yet.  For all of us, it has been a lesson in civics.  Although the media usually calls the election on election night, it is not official until the states certify that election.  States have different dates by which they have to certify according to the laws of that state.  Most states have to certify by mid to late November.  California has until Dec 11^th. Then the Electoral College votes. The Electoral College meets on the “first Monday after the second Wednesday in December”.  This year that is December 14^th.  Then on January 6^th Congress meets in joint session where the President of the Senate opens and certifies the electoral votes. 

There is a Lunar Eclipse on November 30^th and a Solar Eclipse on December 14^th.  These are significant dates in the process and they impact the natal chart of Donald Trump.

In astrology eclipses are strong indicators of change.  The degree of any particular eclipse reacts to planetary transits to that degree.  In essence, eclipse degrees remain “hot” for months, and even years

Donald Trump was born at a Lunar Eclipse.  That eclipse occurred at 23 degrees across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis.  This is a “hot” degree for Trump.

As you delve deeper into astrological lore, the pre-natal eclipse, the closest eclipse that occurs before you were born can play a significant role in the individual’s life.  That degree remains “hot” throughout the individual’s life.

Donald Trump’s pre-natal Solar Eclipse occurred a few weeks before he was born at 8 degrees Gemini. 

On November 30, 2020 around the time when most states have certified their election, there is a Lunar Eclipse at 8 degrees Gemini/Sagittarius.  This is the degree of Trump’s prenatal eclipse.  In addition, the big three, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn are stirring up the pot, opposing Trump’s Venus and Saturn.  Pluto in particular is in very close opposition to Trump’s Saturn.  Saturn is about structure; form and one’s standing in society.  Pluto brings into play the issues of power and control.  Pluto can bring you to great heights and to great depths. 

On December 14, 2020 when the Electoral College meets there is a Solar Eclipse at 23 degrees of Sagittarius. This eclipse degree is the degree of the Lunar Eclipse at Trump’s birth.  At this time Pluto has only moved minutes from it’s position a few weeks before.  So not much has changed. 

The weeks between the Electoral College vote and the Joint Session of Congress are cosmically busy.  The Winter Solstice, the celestial marker of the new year occurs.  At this solstice the 20-year cycle of Saturn and Jupiter begins anew. For centuries this Jupiter/Saturn conjunction, often referred to as the Great Conjunction or Great Chronocrator, has been a reliable indicator of economic, social, and political trends.  This 20-year cycle is a cycle within a cycle. For approximately 200 years the conjunction between these planets occurs in the same element, Earth, Air, Water or Fire.  When this cycle changes elements it is called the Great Mutation.  For the past 200 years these Great Conjunctions have occurred in the element of Earth.  The Earth emphasis is on the material. For Trump, at this Grand Conjunction, Pluto has still not left the building. Pluto is persistent and will continue to knock on your door until you answer.  Here he is knocking on Trump’s Saturn.  Saturn says walk the straight and narrow; conform, follow the rules and obey the law. When Pluto and Saturn are together the path is not easy.

The final reckoning comes when Congress finally meets in Joint Session on the 6^th of January 2021. The slower moving planets are still exerting pressure and stress on Trump’s natal planets. Mars, the planet of action, makes a very sweet and positive connection to Trump’s Ascendant.  Mars is a driving force.  Here Mars is at the very last degree, indeed the last minutes of Aries.  While this is a “good” aspect, a planet in the final degree of a sign is considered weak and signifies the end of a cycle.  

The session opens at 1PM, Saturn in the sky at that moment is given pride of place.  Sitting high in the sky, posited at home base, the 10^th house, Saturn has all the “dignity”.  What this means is Saturn has all the power, the strongest energy exerted.  The Saturn traditions of order, structure and tradition hold sway.  Up there with him is the planet Mercury, in no nonsense Capricorn.  Mercury, in the sign that Saturn rules, is the vote.  This position reinforces the Saturnian principles.  The Moon, ruling the public, is in Libra. Our feet are on the ground at the New Moon of January 13, 2021 with Sun, Moon, Venus and Pluto all in Capricorn.  Venus in Capricorn prefers careful money management.  In love, Venus here is slow to start romantically, but in the long run can bring a lasting relationship. 

The First Quarter Moon on January 20, 2021 falls on Inauguration Day.  Mars is up to no good.   He joins forces with Uranus.  Uranus is the great awakener, the big game changer.  These two together can signal violence, upsets and explosive action; volcanic and earthquaky types of things.  It’s not pretty.  Looking at things differently, Uranus rules the latest technology while Mars rules fevers, inflammation, and the old timey ague. The Full Moon on January 28, 2021 tells us we are not out of the woods yet.  The death rate, finances and debt dominate the news cycle.  Venus with Pluto warns us not to become obsessed.  Know when to let go. 

The New Moon on February 11, 2021 continues the emphasis on debt, finance etc. At this time fickle Venus has moved along into Aquarius and now snuggles up to Jupiter.  Venus in Aquarius wants to be friends, first and foremost.  Before, during and after any love affair or romance, she wants to be and to remain friends.  Hanging out with Jupiter she has no problem spending money.  Whether she has it or not.  Spend, spend, spend.  We may find Congress doing the same.

After all that spending the “Budget” rears its pesky little head when the February 27, 2021 Full Moon rolls around. Venus has wandered off into Pisces where she doesn’t care about money or art, she’s looking for her soul mate and she’s sure she found him.  Someone needs to open her eyes. Mars is now making nice, nice with Pluto so perhaps some of those tough money, tax and insurance issues can be resolved.

A new attitude prevails at the New Moon on March 13, 2021.  The emphasis on Pisces prompts us to charity, spirituality and oh yes, escapism.  Be very careful with news and information, check the sources, read and listen to all viewpoints.  It is easy to get bamboozled with the energy that is around during this period. Public opinion ricochets from one point of view to another.  Traffic, transportation, and students add to the noise. Do your research.

The Winter Solstice chart indicates a time of finishing up, carrying out some final tasks before being able to move forward.  Often when we move from one phase to another the road gets a bit bumpy.  Stand your ground with an open heart. 

Winter 2019 - 2020

Here in the Northern Hemisphere Winter arrives when the Sun moves into the cardinal sign of Capricorn. The day is short and the night is long.  While some traditions celebrate the New Year at the Spring Equinox, many consider this time, when the wheel of the year turns and the days begin to lengthen the true New Year.

Capricorn signifies the time of year when it is dark and cold.  This year the Capricorn influence is especially strong. At the Solstice the Sun in Capricorn is accompanied by Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. This is a lot of energy concentrated in one place. And it is rare to find so many slower moving planets in Capricorn at one time.  Saturn with a 28 to 30-year cycle was last in Capricorn in the late 1980’s.  Pluto was last in Capricorn during the American Revolution.   So yes, this is a big deal and will affect climate, political, social and economic aspects of our lives for some time to come.  Here in the Northeast, keep your shovels as well as your cut-offs handy; extreme weather is on the way. Anything goes.

To add to the mix, less than a week after the Solstice there is a Solar Eclipse in Capricorn.  Eclipses bring change.

During this winter season we cannot avoid the Capricorn principles of responsibility, obeying the law, and operating within the constructs of society.  Saturn, ruler of Capricorn, is at home and those Saturnian principles of contraction, attention to duty and wise use of resources loom large.  Don’t think that you are going to skate by.  Do your homework, pay your electric bill, take care of your health, your car, and call your mother. If you don’t, it is all going to come back and bite you.  

At the January 10, 2020 Lunar Eclipse, Uranus changes direction, and Saturn joins Pluto in a rare conjunction. This Saturn/Pluto conjunction is not a quick overnight flash.  The influence will be with us throughout the year.   Uranus is about shock and scandal.  The Lunar Eclipse is along the 2^nd / 8^th house axis which deals with money, finance and the stock market, as well as secret, sexy stuff.   Ceres, the dwarf planet, is in the picture here, right alongside Saturn and Pluto.  Ceres was the Roman Goddess of agriculture, grain and a mother’s love.  In the Greek myths she is known as Demeter, the mother Goddess whose child Persephone was kidnapped by Pluto and brought to the underworld.  In her anger and grief, she caused the earth to be barren, no crops, no food, no, not nothing until her daughter was returned to her.  Will she play some of her tricks here?  Ceres personifies outraged motherhood.  Pluto is sex and death.  I think the Goddess is about to to flex her muscles.

The next Lunation cycle begins on January 24^th with the New Moon in Aquarius.  Aquarius too is ruled by Saturn so that Capricorn accountability is still with is.  This is not an easy time. At this time Mars pulls Neptune into the picture and more of the secret sex and money stuff comes out.  Bribery, extortion, deceit on all levels.  At the February Full Moon on the 9^th, we’re not out of the woods yet.   The credit card bills from the holiday spending plop into our mail boxes.  Reality hits like a hammer.  Mercury Retrograde on the 16^th makes for a great time to review and revise your thinking, your budget and what it is that makes you happy. 

The late February New Moon in Pisces on the 23^rd finds Mars mixing it up with Uranus.  This is an earthquake aspect. Expect something explosive, Earthwise, politically or economically.   By the time of the Full Moon on March 9^th, Neptune riding with the Sun speaks of illusion, delusion, and deceit.   There’s a cloud around our authority figures and it will take some doing to figure out what is true and what is not.  This is a Super Moon, with extra high tides and extra high emotions.  Mercury goes direct now, over the next few days the fog may clear and we get at the truth.

This winter season with Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter and then Mars in Capricorn marks a significant time in our development and significant challenges to our society.  Pluto, with a 248-year cycle, is inching towards a return to the point where it was when the United States declared its independence from England.  It will not reach that point until February 2023.  The influence of this transit cannot be underestimated.  Challenges to the status quo will continue up to the actual conjunction and beyond.  Pluto signifies power, control and huge movements in society.  2020 will prove to be a very challenging year and the winter season will start it off with a bang.  Hang on tight!

Sagittarius New Moon

The Sagittarius New Moon ushers in the holiday season, usually with exuberance, confidence and a hopeful attitude.  These are the underlying themes of Sagittarius but this particular New Moon on November 26, 2019 has some somber overtones.

With the warrior Mars opposing the master of surprise Uranus, adversarial is the key word here.  Opposing is just that, opposite view points, positions and the difficulties inherent in all of this.  The New Moon chart set for Washington, DC has the Sun and Moon in the 11^th house of Congress, Parliament, State Legislatures and the big opposition between Mars and Uranus straddles the 10^th/4^th house axis.   This axis represents the party in power/the party out of power.   You get the picture, more of the same on the political front.

Mars has all the dignity here. He’s elevated, at the top of the chart, in his own sign, which means that all those martial traits operate at full bore.  Mercury in Scorpio is high in the sky as well, in the 10^th house in aspect to the 1^st house of the people, the consciousness of the nation.  Mercury in Scorpio signifies an intellect that drills down, gets to the bottom of things, and always wants to know what makes people and things tick.  When Mercury travels through Scorpio the tongue is sharp and incisive.  Here this aspect points to a public that will not be deceived no matter how unpleasant the news is. 

Venus sits in the 12^th house of secrets having just moved into Capricorn from Sagittarius.  Venus in Sagittarius is the good time girl. In Capricorn she dons her power suit and sits on the Board of Directors.  Venus is the money planet, here, aware of the coming winter she squirrels away all of her precious acorns.   Venus in Capricorn reminds us to mind the budget.  In matters of love, Venus in Capricorn prefers a traditional partner, someone who is established, a pillar of the community as it were.  Sometimes it can signal a love interest with someone older.  In general, love affairs that begin under Venus in Capricorn are slow to start but usually long lasting.  This will not be one of those sizzling love affairs but it will be one you can count on.  

In the 12^th house as well is Jupiter in the late degrees of Sagittarius.  Jupiter rules judges, courts and the clergy.  As Jupiter moves into Capricorn during the first week of December a major shift occurs.  While posited in the 12^th house there is a possibility of secret deals and behind the scenes manipulation.

At the Full Moon on December 12^th the Moon in chatty, news gathering Gemini, sits at the top of the chart.  Whatever was hidden, if it is going to come out, it will come out now.  Mercury rules this chart, Virgo Rising, Moon at the Midheaven, and Mercury in Sagittarius on home ground in the third house.  This will be a news worthy period.  A weather event, environmental issue shoots across the horizon.  In addition to the ongoing political stuff going on this will be an interesting period leading up to the Winter Solstice.  Expect some seismic shifts in attitude.

A Cosmically Active Week – Ending With a Shocker!

This week we have more impeachment hearings, a Last Quarter Moon, sign and directions changes.  All of the planetary activity signals changes and shifting of energy and attitude.  Expect some bombshells, literally and figuratively. 

Tuesday Mars moves into Scorpio.  Here Mars rules and can be Mars without restriction.  Mars is the planet of action and recently that action has been dressed up pretty in Libra.  Mars does not like pretty.  Here Mars is only restrained by the Scorpio desire to dig to the depths before taking action.  When action does come it can be explosive.  Scorpio thrusts Mars precisely into the heart of things cutting to the quick.  Mars in Scorpio is passionate and not just sexually passionate. 

The Last Quarter Moon on the same day has the Sun at 27 Scorpio and the Moon at 27 Leo.  That we are going to see some action on the impeachment front is a given.  The Moon sits on Donald Trump’s natal Mars and Ascendant.  These two points in his chart are very important and reveal a lot about his personality.  Mars in Leo here says I am going to fight to the end.  Bring it on I love and thrive on it.  The Sun squares these points. This is not an aspect of ease, bringing action, agitation and difficulties that have to be addressed.  Also Venus at this time sits exactly opposite Trump’s Sun.  Venus rules diplomats and here in opposition signifies exactly that, opposition.  A conflict between the Diplomatic Corp and the President. 

Mercury is poised and ready to go direct on Wednesday afternoon, the 20^th.  When planets change direction there is usually activity pertaining to the nature of that planet.  Mercury is all about communication, transportation, and information. When Mercury moves from retrograde motion to direct motion, information surfaces, new ideas form and things are viewed differently. Expect a lot of activity around this day, before and after.

On Friday, the Sun moves into exuberant Sagittarius and a very different energy prevails.  Whereas Scorpio is secretive and keeps things close to the vest Sagittarius throws it all out there.  Sagittarius is ready to move.  This sign is also one of high ideals, justice and the deeper meaning to it all.  Judges, the judiciary, foreign and faraway places are all part of the Sagittarius makeup. 

On Sunday the 24^th Venus joins Jupiter.  This is a lovely aspect and can prove to be very lucky.  In Sagittarius, if you are looking for love and/or money this is the day for it.  Get out there, socialize, meet people and trust to the luck of the day to bring you something wonderful.  But be wary because along with that aspect is the much more dangerous one of Mars opposing Uranus.  This is an explosive lineup.  If anything shocking is going to come out of these impeachment hearings, it will come out now.  This combination surprises, stuns and brings the outrageous to our door.  It is not pretty. This is the bolt out of the blue that leaves us reeling.  Explosive is the key word here. Disaster is another. This energy will be in play for the entire week as Mars moves closer to the opposition point, reaching its peak on Sunday, then slowly waning into next week.  Hang on to your hat. 

By the time the New Moon arrives on the 26^th we will be facing an entirely different picture.  Attitudes, outlooks, feelings and desires will segue into something fresh and new as we prepare for the holiday season.

A Friday Surprise- Marie Yovanovitch Testifies

Marie Yovanovitch has been in the Foreign Service since 1986. She was abruptly removed from her post as Ambassador to the Ukraine this year.  She will be the only witness to testify today.  Rudy Guliani allegedly orchestrated a smear campaign against her.  Donald Trump and his allies will learn today that they were “picking on the wrong chicken”.

Marie Yovanovitch is a Scorpio.  Along with the Sun in that sign she has Venus, Jupiter, Neptune and most likely the Moon.  She is one tough customer. 

The hearings are set to open a 9AM.  At this time Uranus, ready to drop a bombshell, sits on the Descendant.  Mars in the 12^th house, sits on the Ascendant.  The Ascendant/Descendant are important points in any horoscope.  Any planets at these points are prominent and their energy is concentrated and laser like.

The Moon in this chart is in late Gemini opposing Ceres the Dwarf Planet.  Ceres/Women, Moon/Women, I have always felt that women would be part of Trump’s downfall.  Not the bimbos he has paid off, but women in authority.

This testimony is set up for a Friday.  That is when all the bombshells drop.  Marie Yovanovitch has something to say that will change the picture, change some minds and probably shock a lot of people.  Although, I think we are past being shocked.

Televised Impeachment Hearings. What Can We Expect?

Another dog and pony show?  Or will something substantive come out of this. A look at the chart for the opening of the hearings on November 13, 2019 at 10AM in Washington, DC may provide some clues.

The first thing that pops out is the Ascendant at 29 degrees Sagittarius 56 minutes.  29 degrees of any sign is a critical degree but here it is very close to the Galactic Center at 27 degrees Sagittarius. The information out there about the Galactic Center, both astronomically and astrologically, fills volumes.  This point is the rotational center of the Milky Way, while Earth, Moon and the planets revolve around the Sun, the Sun revolves around the Galactic Center.  So it is an important point in our universe.  Sagittarius is all about truth and justice, at the Galactic Center the task is to separate the wheat from the chaff. This combination knows no party nor has any loyalty to any individual. 

The second point is the Retrograde Mercury in Scorpio.  If you want to do some digging, get at the truth and expose any ugliness in the universe do so while Mercury is in this state. Retrograde Mercury champions revising and reviewing.  Reviewing is basically what these televised hearings are about.  Testimony has been given behind closed doors and the bombshells have been dropped. Now we get to see and hear these folks repeat what they have said.  Maybe some new info will surface.

The aspects throughout the day offer more clues as to what will go down.  Before the opening, Mercury will sextile Saturn.  This is an aspect that favors connections and assistance.  Saturn says let’s get down to business.  Mercury in Scorpio is ready for that.  Just before 1PM the Sun makes the same aspect to Pluto.  Sun rules the head, the leader.  Here it could be the President but it could also indicate who is running the impeachment hearings.  Pluto rules those in power.  There’s powerful forces at work on both sides.  With Mercury in Scorpio and Pluto the ruler of Scorpio involved things are going to get ugly.

The Moon at the open is in Gemini and will remain there throughout until Friday at 11:15 AM.  Moon in Gemini is totally neutral, neither one way nor the other.  Moon in Gemini wants information.  Gemini’s ruler, Mercury in Scorpio is happy to oblige. Throughout the course of these hearings Gemini Moon will roll over Donald Trump’s Gemini Sun, Uranus and North Node.  Thursday night, the Moon will oppose Donald Trump’s natal Moon.  Moon often acts as a trigger setting off what has already been set in motion by the slower moving planets. In this case Saturn/Pluto in Capricorn opposing Trump’s Venus/Saturn, North Node on his Mercury and Jupiter on his Moon and opposing his Sun.  A lot of action hitting his chart over these past months and for some months to come.

Thursday may prove critical, although much may go on behind the scenes.  Around Noon time Venus will square Neptune.  At that moment transiting Moon will be sitting on Donald Trump’s Uranus.  Some shocking news perhaps.  Venus rules women in diplomacy.  Trump’s natal Venus conjunct Saturn can indicate problems with women. 

Overall these hearings will be a big review with some new information surfacing.  I would like to say shocking but I think the public has been inured to so much shocking information in recent years that for something to be considered shocking it would have to be really over the top.  But who knows?

New information will surface but the true impact of it will not be felt until Mercury goes direct on November 20, 2019.  In the meantime, hang onto your hat.

Will Trump’s Phone Call to the Ukraine Bring Him Down?

The phone call to Ukrainian President Zelensky began at 9:03 AM on July 25, 2019.  The chart cast for that moment impacts Donald Trump’s chart as well as the July 4, 1776 chart of the United States.

At the time of the phone call Mercury was retrograde in Cancer conjunct Venus in Cancer at 25/26 degrees.  This conjunction was sitting on Donald Trump’s natal conjunction of Venus and Saturn. Now, in November, Mercury is retrograde again, in Scorpio, and it is in a favorable aspect to the phone call Mercury.  More “stuff” is being revealed.  Mercury will go direct on November 20^th and will not reach this degree again until the first week in December.  Expect a bombshell around December 6^th as more comes out. 

The phone call was made when Donald Trump was having a Venus Return, i.e. Venus had swung around the Zodiac and was sitting on his natal Venus.  This is usually a lovely transit.  Venus rules love, money and all the fun and games in life.  We usually feel pretty good about ourselves at a Venus Return.   Perhaps this return made Donald Trump feel confident, or over confident perhaps.  The interesting thing is that Venus also rules women in international diplomacy.  Marie Yovanovitch described some scary events in her testimony to investigators. 

Trump’s Saturn/Venus conjunction indicates problems with women.  That does seem to play out in his life.  And the problems come about through women with authority.

The Mercury/Venus conjunction in the phone call chart also impacts the chart of the United States.  The chart of the USA has retrograde Mercury at 24 Cancer.  So, this little conjunction was sitting on our country’s Mercury.  Mercury rules national opinion, news media, the Secretary of State and political meetings.  

The phone call was made with Moon conjunct Mr. Surprise, Uranus.  This conjunction squared the USA’s nodal axis.  The nodes are the points in the Zodiac where the Moon crosses the celestial equator going North and South.  Contacts with these points have a “fated” feel to them.  This is bigger than partisan politics.   Trump and his administration are part of a cosmic turn around as the USA heads into it’s first Pluto return in 2022.  Pluto takes 248 years to make a complete circle around the Zodiac.  Pluto eliminates, disintegrates and transforms.  Major sociological upheavals occur when Pluto rolls around.   These are not sudden and unexpected like a Uranus transit; Pluto is slow and inexorable.  With Pluto, the crap gets exposed first.  This will reveal not just Trump and the Republicans but all those in power who abuse that power. 

Another player in this game is Alexander Vindman the US Army lieutenant colonel who testified about his concerns about a July 10^th meeting as well as the infamous phone call of the 25^th.  Vindman is a Gemini, who also has Venus and Saturn in Cancer.  His Venus is conjunct Donald Trump’s Venus, his Mercury is conjunct Trump’s Sun.  They have a rapport.  He “likes” Trump.  Venus contacts attract and bring congeniality and all the social lubricants that make life pleasant.  At the time of the phone call the Moon/Uranus conjunction in the sky was conjunct his natal Moon.  Uranus is the shocker, the bolt out of the blue event that leaves you reeling. With a Taurus Moon, he is loyal, faithful and true.  Something occurred that shook him to his core and prompted him to come forward.  This guy did not do this lightly and it is probably very difficult for him to do this. 

The public hearings begin on November 13, 2019 with Moon in Gemini, information, and Mercury in Scorpio still retrograde.  A retrograde Mercury in Scorpio, reexamines, reviews and revises.  In Scorpio, it’s like x-ray vision.  Here Mercury wants to get to the bottom of things.  The Moon represents the public, in Gemini the message is, the people want the information, good, bad or indifferent, there is a need for the facts.

Mercury goes direct on November 20^th, expect new information to be revealed and some real action by the first week in December.

First Quarter Moon - Mars and Pluto Mix It Up

Monday, November 4, 2019 brings us the First Quarter Moon.  Most folks are familiar with the New and Full Moons and much is made of these two phenomena but the Quarter Moons are as potent, if not more so.  At these times the Sun and Moon are at a 90 degree angle, in astrological parlance, this is called a square.  Squares are stressful aspects and they make things happen.

The Sun in Scorpio enhances our vision, we see beneath the surface and are sensitive to nuance and mood.  Aquarius Moon, while friendly, keeps it impersonal.  Scorpio Sun wants to get all up into your shit, this Moon in Aquarius, while curious, values freedom and does not have a lot invested in the motivations and secrets of others.  Scorpio Sun is intense, Aquarius Moon intellectual. Water and Air, emotions and intellect, sometimes it is hard for the two to meet.

At this Quarter Moon, Mars and Pluto are in square aspect, becoming exact on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.  This combination can get ugly.  Mars is the warrior, Pluto the transformer.  Both can be very destructive.  Mars/Pluto squares were in range at such horrific events as the Aurora Cinema shooting, the San Bernardino shooting, the RFK assassination.  The energies at this time are powerful, for those on the edge, it can push them over.  On the upside, Oprah Winfrey, Johnny Carson and Margaret Thatcher were all born with this aspect.  This combination can bring you to the heights and to the depths.  Be careful over the next few days.  Mars rules impulsive actions.  Don't run the red light, try not to get impatient with people and remember to breathe.

On Thursday,  November 7th,  the Sun reaches 15 degrees of Scorpio, this is the true Samhain, the midpoint between Fall and Winter.  Some who follow the old ways do celebrate on the correct day and time or celebrate over a period of days.  This is an important point in the wheel of the year as are all points when the Sun reaches 15 degrees of the fixed signs, as it marks the midpoint of the particular season,  Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring.  Our ancestors were great sky watchers, it was their calendar.  At this point in time, they knew winter was closing in and it was necessary to be prepared.  Today we have the 24 hour supermarket, so the need to prepare is not so acute but deep in our being there is a primal response to this turn of the seasons.

During the height of this Scorpio season with Mercury retrograde in Scorpio the energy provides us the opportunity to look at ourselves with complete honesty, no sugar coating.   Look, acknowledge and forgive yourself.   Get ready to release all the negative at next weeks Full Moon.

Venus - Desire - Love - Money

Today, November 1, 2019, Venus the planet of love, relationships, artistic endeavors and money moves from intense Scorpio into exuberant Sagittarius.  The intense passions of Scorpio give way to the more lighthearted endeavors of Sagittarius.

Venus in Sagittarius is setting us up for the holiday season, getting us in the mood for all of that frivolity.   Venus in Sagittarius wants freedom, the freedom to explore, the freedom to be.  Relationships formed while Venus is in Sagittarius tend to be exotic and international.   People are attracted to folks of a different background, foreigners or those who seem to be different from what they are used to. 

Venus is a fast  moving planet and will move into Capricorn on the 25th of November.  During her journey through Sagittarius she will square off with Neptune on the 14th.  Venus/Neptune combinations are the ultimate in romantic fantasy.  It can be quite lovely.  Under Neptune we are searching for the ideal.  With Venus it is either the perfect love or the perfect money making deal.  Keep in mind the old saying, love is blind, as well as, if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is.  That does not mean that  you cannot find true love under this aspect.  It does mean you need to take off the rose colored glasses and see things as they really are not how you wish them to be.

On the 24th, the day before she leaves enthusiastic Sagittarius, Venus snuggles up to Jupiter.  These are the two benefics of astrology the Greater, Jupiter, and the Lesser, Venus.  Think big, grand social events, huge productions, everything is "major".  All the "good time Charley's are out" , the Charlene's as well.   Money is no object here, not even a consideration.  If it brings you pleasure you'll buy it, spend it and blow through it like a hot knife through butter.   If you connect with someone at this time it will probably be a lot of fun.  Be wary of someone who promises more than they can deliver.  This may be a fun relationship but not one where the other person will be around when the going gets rough.  This is a fun person.  And that is fine if that is all you want.  Keep their number, you'll have it whenever you want to connect for a good time.

Things will look and feel differently when Venus moves into Capricorn on the 25th.  We start to sober up.  Venus in Capricorn is very different.  Stay tuned.

Mercury Snuggles Up With Venus - Exchanging Secrets - October 30, 2019

My morning routine consists of a cup of coffee and a look at the chart for the day.  The timing of this chart varies, depending on when I get up and when I open my astrology software and click "now". This morning I noticed two little tidbits that will have some impact on our daily routine and perhaps beyond. 

Mercury, stationed, (stopped in the sky), preparing to turn retrograde becomes exactly aligned with Venus. The blended energies of Mercury and Venus usually means pleasant conversation, harmony and agreement.  Venus is the social planet, with Mercury, conversation is the key.  But in this particular instance both planets are in Scorpio.  Conversations are going to be deep and penetrating.   This is not idle cocktail party chit chat.  Scorpio digs to the bottom of things.  No one gets off easy here.

Tomorrow Mercury begins retrograde motion until November 20th.  Retrograde periods are a time for reevaluation, review,  recycle all that re stuff.   Scorpio energy provides a platform for deep introspection.  Secrets are revealed, although this may not become apparent until after the 20th.

Venus is the planet of love and money,  Mercury rules all kinds of communication from the text to the text book.  Mercury also rules transactions and transportation.   With Venus, transactions involving money. 

Scorpio rules sex, death, taxes, and interest rates.   With Mercury poised to go retrograde it is best to scrutinize all legal and financial documents.  And while Venus is usually very sweet and pretty, in Scorpio she is not at home and very uncomfortable.  Venus' usual diplomatic strengths are blunted here. 

Relationships do play a big role here and conversations within relationship during these two days will be very important.  Try to avoid being sharp tongued and keep in mind how much words can hurt. The Scorpio sting is usually the result of a deep hurt.   Yes, Scorpio is sensitive, although they will never let you know it.

New Moon in Scorpio November 2019

The New Moon plants the seeds that will sprout and flower as the Moon moves from a conjunction with the Sun, the New Moon, to an opposition, the Full Moon.  This New Moon is in Scorpio.  Some belief systems say that the veil is thin between this world and the next during this time of year.  That belief may stem from the Scorpion energy that penetrates and sees through society's polite veneer to the real and raw human emotions beneath. 

Uranus in direct opposition to the Sun and Moon at this time promises a most volatile, unstable and unpredictable period.  Violent weather extremes, floods, earthquakes and other natural upheavals disrupt normal living conditions.  This is not a pretty aspect, the possibilities for mayhem are endless, Train wrecks, airplane crashes and demonstrations; any and all things that wreak havoc on the daily routine are possible.

President Trump, with transiting Jupiter conjunct  his Moon and opposing his Sun will be dealing with courts, judges, treaties and international borders.  The political situation will not cool down for him and actions from his own party will take him by surprise.  And he is not adverse to throwing out a few surprises of his own.  He is a very Uranian type of person and easily adapts to sudden upsets.

Emotions run high during this period.  Mercury goes retrograde on the 31st and will remain so until November 20th.  Be sure to dot your i's and cross your t's during this period.  Scrutinize news, documents and adhere to that old saying, "don't believe half of what you hear" etc.  

At the Full Moon, retrograde Mercury and the Sun oppose the Moon from the 12th house of secrets.  Expect behind the scenes machinations, covert activities and the kind of things folks like to keep on the down low.  Be wary of false information, lies and distortion.  Check it out, google it, give your friend the benefit of the doubt until you are sure you have the facts.

At the Last Quarter Moon, Mars moves into Scorpio and Mercury goes direct.  November 19-20.  The energy shifts, and things being to move forward.  Mars in Scorpio is at home in Scorpio and very strong.  Mars likes a fight.  As it moves into opposition with volatile Uranus sparks will fly.  The weekend before the next New Moon on November 26th will be explosive and upsetting.  Impulsive actions bring unexpected results.  Mars/Uranus combinations are an accident waiting to happen.  Think before you act.  Look before you leap.  Stay safe.  

Capricorn Moon - First Quarter

While the Full Moon gets all the attention, the Quarter Moons are just as, if not more important.  At these times the Sun and Moon are at 90 degree angles to one another, a square aspect.  Squares create energy, not always good energy, but energy nonetheless.  Things happen at squares.  Folks with squares in their natal chart have a built in action mechanism.  Those squares have to act.

At this First Quarter Moon on Saturday, October 4, 2019 four planets are in their home sign.  Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune.  A planet is like a verb, action, in it's home sign the planet is able to act according to it's true nature and thus the symbolism of that planet plays out in a more obvious manner. 

Venus, the planet of love and money, at home in Libra is the diplomatic queen here.  Jupiter, expansive, philosophical and judicial, in Sagittarius plays an important role.  In the First Quarter Moon chart he sits on the ascendant, a key point in any horoscope.  Just behind the ascendant in the 12th house of secrets this speaks to behind the scenes activities, human rights and secret enemies.  Saturn conjunct the Moon in the first house reflects the condition of the people in this country.  Prosperity or not.  The Moon signifies the public and their opinions.  Neptune represents the fluctuation of public opinion. 

Another important aspect of this chart is the planet Mercury, in Scorpio opposing Uranus in Taurus.  Mercury in Scorpio looks beneath the surface, speaks with the Scorpion sting and uncovers the truth.  With Uranus in the picture, be prepared for a shock, something unexpected and straight out of the blue like a lightening bolt.  Mercury and Uranus together can indicate accidents and upsets involving traffic, transportation of all kinds, airlines, trains etc.  as well as electrical outages.  This aspect becomes exact on Monday, October 7th with the Moon at that time in Aquarius adding to the bizarre and unusual picture. 

On Tuesday, October 8th, Venus leaves the land of sweetness, Libra and enters Scorpio.  She leaves her diplomatic shoes behind.   She makes an opposition to Uranus the day before the Full Moon.  The gloves will come off on that day.  Venus is about relationships and she's not about to take any shit while she is in Scorpio.  Folks will act and react if they think their freedom is being impinged upon.

This period should be interesting for all signs as the energy is all over the place.  Hang on to your hat.  And get ready for the Full Moon.

Libra New Moon - Aries Full Moon

The New Moon on Saturday, September 28th ushered us into Libra time.  Libra energy brings  a spirit of cooperation reminding us that we are of a herding species.  We really like to get together.  The New Moon chart provides a road map to the Lunar month.  Sun, Mercury and Venus are all in Libra at this New Moon so the Libra energy is especially strong.  With Mercury at the top of the chart and all these planets clustered in the ninth house, newspapers, publishing, legal issues and courts will be prominent .  Some freaky weather events are possible as well. 

The first week in October brings a shift on a variety of levels.  Thursday, October 3rd, with Moon in Sagittarius, Pluto turns in direct motion and Mercury moving into Scorpio, the gloves come off and things could get ugly.  Mercury in Libra was all nice-nice but Mercury in Scorpio is incisive and slices through all the bull shit. Pluto moving forward brings about big events.  Pluto is all about power and control.   Pluto destroys to build something newer and better.  On Friday Mars enters Libra.  While our energies may incline us towards compromise and consensus,  Mars the action planet is blunted here.  Libra is the peacemaker, Mars is the warmonger.  You get the picture.  Disparate forces clash with one another.

But action is unavoidable at the First Quarter Moon on Saturday.  While folks are aware of the Full Moon and the sometimes crazy energy floating around at those times;  Quarter Moons can be just as crazy.  This Quarter Moon kicks off some tense energies; legal issues and religious fanatics make the headlines. Freaky weather, shocking news, the strange, odd and curious fill the weekend and this weird stuff continues into Monday.  The Aquarius Moon on Monday adds to the crazy. 

On Tuesday another energy shift takes place when Venus enters Scorpio.   Venus symbolizes the sweet and gentile.  Scorpio is anything but.  We navigate these waters with a bit of difficulty.  As the Full Moon of the 13th approaches expect a shocking event involving women, sex, diplomatic snafus and of course political fall out.

The Full Moon on the 13th shimmers with  a glamour that clouds issues and covers true motives.  Oil and gas leaks, and leaking of private information muddies the waters.  When it comes to the news read between the lines, do some serious investigating. 

As the Moon winds down to the Last Quarter on the 21st the possibility of misinformation grows stronger.  Powerful forces at work leading up to this point in time want to control information.  Control is the keyword here.   As we gear up for the next New Moon the energy shifts into the more serious and complex sign of Scorpio.

Inquiry to Impeach - Trump

Yesterday, September 24, 2019 at 5:04 PM Nancy Pelosi announced that the House of Representatives were opening an Inquiry into Impeachment.  A whistle blower complaint about a conversation the President had with the President of the Ukraine was the incident that pushed Nancy Pelosi to take this step.  Prior to this she has been reluctant to pen these proceedings.

At the time of the announcement, Mercury was sitting on top of Trump's natal Jupiter at 17 Libra.  Trump's Jupiter is part of a lucky trine in his chart with his natal Uranus at 17 Gemini.  Transiting Jupiter in Sagittarius opposes Trump's Uranus and is in sextile to his  Jupiter. 

There is a lot more planetary action going on that impacts his chart but these are the ones that pop out when giving it all a quick look.   The Mercury (inquiry)  conjunction to his Jupiter (law, courts, Senate)  perfectly symbolizes what is going on.  Venus is in the picture as well.  Jupiter and Venus are referred to as the Greater and Lesser Benefic, which means they are the good guys and bring luck and good fortune to you when they transit your chart.  This would seem to favor Trump in this case.  But Jupiter is the law and elsewhere in Trump's chart he is experiencing a Saturn transit.  While Jupiter represents the law, Saturn demands that you obey that law.  Venus will often bring helpful people into your life here it symbolizes the feminine forces that are aligned against Trump.  Many women oppose Trump and his policies. 

Trump's luck may still be in force for a while yet.  The end of October, 30/31 sparks will fly.  January and February 2020 could very will bring a reckoning.

Moon in Cancer / Leo

We're still in the Last Quarter phase of the Moon/Sun cycle.  And we are poised to enter the Fall Season which begins officially in the wee hours of Monday morning. 

The Moon this Sunday, September 22, 2019 entered Cancer just after midnight as Saturday rolled over into Sunday.  Cancer is the home sign of the Moon.  Cancer and the Moon rule the emotions. So we can expect folks to be moody and at times crabby.  During the day today Mercury, the news and information guy squares of with Saturn the planet known as the Greater Malefic, which means he does not usually bring about happy results.  Connected to Mercury we could hear some bad news, an aviation or automobile accident,  and even an attempt to prevent news from getting out.  Remember, whatever the news or events, under a Cancer Moon folks will react emotionally.

 This season will bring new efforts to conserve and protect the earth.  We are witnessing it already with the global climate strike.  This season seeds will be planted that will result in new technologies in connection to the environment.

Early Tuesday morning the Moon enters Leo.  The energy shifts, folks want to be appreciated when Moon is in Leo.  This Moon favors leadership, creativity and in general can be quite optimistic.  It is a red letter day as Mercury, the speedy little traveler makes a sweet connection with Jupiter the Greater Benefic.   This aspect favors signing contracts, reaching agreements and making announcements.  Take advantage of this day in any way you can because the energy is favorable.

Wednesday, with the Moon still in Leo  Venus, ruler of love and money, squares off with that bad boy Saturn.  This connection with Saturn reminds us to pay attention to how much we are spending.  Mind the budget Saturn warns.  Venus could care less about the budget, she sees it, likes it, thinks it's pretty and wants it.  In matters of the heart, Venus / Saturn connections can mean a slow start to a relationship and can bring a commitment.  The warning here is that the Saturn person in the relationship might want to put a lid on the Venus person.  Saturn likes to limit, contract and control.  Best to think things through before making that commitment. 

Greta Thunberg - Climate Girl

Pictures of Greta Thunberg, a lone girl with a lone sign saying "strike for climate" has flashed around the globe in the wake of yesterday's global climate strike.   From a humble start a little girl has activated millions.

Greta Thunberg is of the generation with Pluto in Sagittarius,  Neptune in Aquarius and Uranus in Aquarius along with David Hogg survivor of the the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting.  From guns to climate, this generation will create change.

Greta Thunberg is a Capricorn.  Although I have no time for her birth it's a good bet that her Moon was in Capricorn as well.  She was born at at Mercury station, meaning Mercury was changing direction when she was born, going from Direct to Retrograde.  Planets at stationary points are very powerful.  It is no surprise that Mercury the messenger is so strong in her chart.  That Mercury is in Capricorn as well and insures that her message will manifest in the world in a concrete way.  

When she began her strike on August 20, 2018 Retrograde Mars in Capricorn was transiting, sitting on, her Mercury.  Mars is about action and this Mars brought energy to that message.  Also Saturn was a couple of degrees into Capricorn.  Saturn rules Capricorn.  At that time it was just beginning to aspect her natal Sun. 

As she sailed across the Atlantic, hit the United Nations and the US Congress transiting Saturn was rolling across her Sun. 

Saturn transits mark significant periods in a person's life.  Capricorn's in general are sometimes old when they are young and young when they are old.  When Saturn comes around it is usually pay back time or time to do your job.  If you don't, in 7 1/2 years or so, Saturn will hit you from another angle and demand pay back. Greta Thunberg has done her job and will continue to do so.

Jupiter will enter Capricorn in December and remain there for a bout a year rolling over her Capricorn planets.  Jupiter is the Good Luck guy.  Saturn will conjunct Pluto on January 12, 2020 smack in the middle of Greta's Capricorn planets. 

This young lady is not going away.  She will continue to spread her message and that message will resonate with the masses.  The kid is a game changer.  

Moon in Gemini - Have That Conversation

Today, September 20, 2019, Moon is in Gemini.  There's some good energy out there for conversation, information gathering and information exchanging.  Friday is Venus' day and in the connecting with people.  In the early afternoon Moon and Mercury make that same congenial aspect.  A good time to write, communicate and tug on those many threads that are dangling in your life.  As Mercury rules youth it is good timing for the Friday Global Climate strike.  These good aspects indicate a successful outcome. 

Saturday the 1st Moon is in Gemini all day and late in the evening the Last Quarter in the Lunar cycle becomes exact.  A Gemini Moon squaring a Virgo Sun emphasizes Mercury and all that this planet symbolizes.  In a natal chart Mercury reveals how we speak, learn and process information.  Our siblings and neighbors fall under Mercury's purview.  Lots of thinking going and mulling things over.

Midday, Jupiter in Sagittarius squared off with Neptune in Pisces.  The energy of these planets are strong at this time as they are each in their own sign.  They are at home and are comfortable.  This combination strikes a spiritual cord in all of us.  The upside is meditation and higher consciousness, the down side is deceit, deceiving ourselves and others as well as being excessive in all things.  Over eating, drinking and in taking the easy way out.  Oil, gas and other chemicals fall under this aspect.  Meditation and seeking enlightenment is a good way to handle this energy.
