Some thoughts on the Eclipse

This eclipse occured at 29 degrees of Cancer in what is called an Anaretic Degree, (not to be confused with anorexic) the final degree of a sign. When planets reach this final degree it usually signals a crisis point. With the slower moving planets (from Jupiter on out) there is usually an event or action that signifies that planet's "Last Hurrah" in that sign. It is a potent degree and the Eclipse here gives it more power. There is some debate as to how long the influence of an Eclipse lasts. In interpretation of an Eclipse to a personal chart, the closer the Eclipse is to a personal planet the stronger the influence. The degree of an Eclipse does remain "hot" for quite some time and transits to that degree often trigger events that relate to the Eclipse. An Eclipse in Cancer signifies deception from those in office, (So what else is new?) swings in the stock market and some heavy weather related events.
