Tim Taylor Blues Band

Friday night I went to hear the Tim Taylor Blues Band play at The News Cafe located in downtown Pawtucket, RI. The Cafe is a funky little joint that puts me in mind of a spiffed up version of the original Met Cafe. One of it's more attractive features is the original tin ceiling that is in excellent shape. The Band, what can I say about the band, they never disappoint. Tim Taylor's harp playing will make you weep. Then there is my old pal Mark Taber weaving in and out, adding puncuation, Count Basie style. Drummer Mookie Kane is solid. A guitar and bass round things out nicely. Drinking club soda with lime with a free basket of popcorn, I am living large folks.
